Idaho 2009 H1N1 Weekly Update: December 16

As supplies of H1N1 vaccine continue to improve, public health officials are encouraging all Idahoans to get vaccinated against the 2009 H1N1 vaccine before the holidays to help prevent the spread of illness as families and friends gather together. Since last week, the 2009 H1N1 vaccine has been available to Idahoans over the age of 6 months.

Idaho 2009 H1N1 Weeky Update: December 9

Public health officials are encouraging people to get vaccinated against 2009 H1N1 flu before the holidays to help prevent the spread of illness as families and friends gather together. Since last week, the 2009 H1N1 vaccine has been available to Idahoans between the ages of 6 months and 65. Idaho’s local public health districts are now in the process of opening vaccine to all people over the age of 6 months.

Idaho 2009 H1N1 Weekly Update: December 4

On Thursday, Dec. 3, public health officials met to discuss the increasing supplies of 2009 H1N1 vaccine and agreed to make it available to all Idahoans under the age of 65 immediately, including healthy adults. Prior to this, a limited supply of vaccine forced public health officials to target the vaccine to recommended initial priority groups that included children and young adults under the age of 25, pregnant women and people 25-64 with underlying health conditions.
