The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare’s (DHW) Infant Toddler program offices for Region 7 in eastern Idaho are moving to a new Idaho Falls location on Thursday, June 23rd.

The Infant Toddler office, currently located at 2475 Leslie in the Child Development Center, will move to the main DHW office building at 150 Shoup St. The Infant Toddler program provides early intervention services for children up to three years of age who have developmental delays or disabilities. Typical Infant Toddler program services include speech, developmental, occupational and physical therapies.

The Infant Toddler office will close on June 22nd for the move. The main phone number will remain the same, 208-525-7223, although individual staff numbers and the Child Find number will change. People are encouraged to call the Infant Toddler main office number for assistance with telephone number changes.

The office move is necessary because the Child Development Center building, which is owned by the State, was sold. The building space was not necessary for the Infant Toddler program because services have transitioned from being provided in an office setting to a more successful model of being offered in families’ homes or other community settings.
