The Idaho Board of Health and Welfare will hold its regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, November 8th, at the Pete T. Cenarrusa Building, 450 West State St., Boise. The meeting will begin at 8 a.m. in the 10th floor conference room and is anticipated to adjourn late afternoon.

The Board will review DHW rules that will be presented in the upcoming legislative session.  Examples of rules under review include:

• For a joint custody arrangement in which both parents apply for Food Stamp benefits for their child, this rule provides the benefit to the parent who has the primary physical custody of the child;
• An increase in fees for criminal history background checks from $55 to $70 because of a $15 fee increase for Idaho State Police records checks; and
• Implementation of a patient-centered medical home model of care in the Medicaid Basic Plan to better coordinate care for individuals who have chronic diseases or multiple health conditions.

The board also will be asked to approve the appointments of Denise Chuckovich as deputy director, Elke Shaw-Tulloch as administrator of the Division of Public Health, and Tamara Prisock as administrator for the Division of Licensing and Certification.
