Facts on Arthritis:

    • Arthritis is the nation's leading cause of disability
    • Arthritis affects more women than men
    • in 2006, 46 million adults in the U.S. have doctor-diagnosed arthritis (nearly 1 in 5 adults)
    • Arthritis affects people in all age groups, including 300,000 children
    • In Idaho, 256,000 adults (25.5%) have doctor-diagnosed arthritis

                   


Idaho Arthritis Program
Our goal is to reduce the burden of arthritis in Idaho, increase awareness of it as a public health issue and focus on the value of early diagnosis and treatment.
