The Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee is a select group of learned individuals committed to providing the right care at the right price. To that end, the Committee meets four times per year to review clinical evidence. Drug utilization review and cost modeling analysis are done twice per year - at the committee meetings in February and August. The Committee makes recommendations to the Department of Health and Welfare regarding which drugs they found to be the most efficacious and whether or not to prior authorize any of the agents.
